Mutah Beale, better known as Napoleon of Tupac Shakur’s infamous rap group “The Outlawz” has successfully transitioned away from an empty life to a fulfilling one in Islam and is on a mission to spread the message of peace and true happiness. From rapping alongside hip-hop legend Tupac in the 1990s to selling Arabic coffee in Saudi Arabia, Mutah Beale has seen it all. Leaving behind a life of excess and wastefulness Mutah converted to Islam in 2001 and wants to lead by example to young rappers.
A member of the Outlawz hip hop group, founded by Tupac Beale aka Napoleon, the rapper went on to feature in Tupac’s Makiaveveli album, making him a prominent member of the group. Following up with more releases post Tupacs death including Still I Rise, Collide wit Us, Novakane, and Neva Surrenda album. After an 11-year journey as a rapper that saw him sell more than four million records, it was finally time to let it all go. Conversion to Islam led him to leave the music industry and embark on a journey of righteousness. Beale considers hip hop and Islam to be incompatible, because “they basically call for two different things” and that even if the song’s message is positive, “if it is not according to the Sunnah (teachings) of the Prophet Muhammad, then it is unacceptable.”
Born in Newark, New Jersey, Beale was raised by his Christian grandmother in a violent neighborhood. His parents were murdered in front of him when he was only 3 and he found a new life in music and hip hop but this was short-lived as he found the true meaning of life in Islam and the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad.
Mutah Beale currently lives in Saudi Arabia with his family and is active on his social media platforms including Youtube, Instagram, etc. where he is constantly posting content where he preaches the word of God with the objective of accomplishing unity and harmony in the community.
